Welcome to Sealie Software.
Greg Parker's internet extravaganza.
projects
- Hamster Emporium
- Colorized keyboard backlight: make your
MacBook Pro look more awesome.
- CSC Menu: Clear Sky Charts in your Mac's menu bar.
- Valgrind for Mac OS X: some assembly required.
- Fringe Player: brings the classic game Lunatic Fringe to Mac OS X.
- pssh: SSH 2 for Palm OS 5.
- Peal: ARM ELF loader for Palm OS 5. Provides global variables and other goodies not supported by PceNativeCall().
- XDarwin: XFree86 on Mac OS X. See XonX at SourceForge.
I implemented the original rootless mode. It has since undergone
substantial revision by developers at Apple and elsewhere.
- Art Critic: an attempt to teach a
computer
to recognize Impressionist paintings. We used image segmentation
algorithms to distill the data and reduce dimensionality before
invoking a classifier. The attempt was only moderately successful
(described by my partner as "promising at best").
- Frankenmouse: a mutant computer
mouse with the body of a Thinking Mouse and the brains of a Mouse-in-a-box
Optical Pro.
- My resume. I'm currently on indefinite
sabbatical, so I'm not looking for a job. But every man has his price.
snippets
- fakepoll.h: a simple implementation of poll() for Mac OS X. Public domain.
- xroot.c: an X11 window that sends clicks to the root window. Useful for window manager menus in a rootless X server. Public domain.
- Palm fonts: screenshots of the Palm OS character map from Constructor for Palm OS.
pictures
archaea
- From 2001: XEmacs port for Mac OS X. Recent versions of XEmacs work out of the box, so this isn't needed anymore.
- From 1997: Angband Arena: multiplayer
Angband by
Brian Parker. This was actually slightly playable at one time, but
now there's not much left besides some
pictures and a few random
files.
- From 1997: Marathon Crosshairs (38K).
My first program released to the public. I'd be
very surprised if this still worked on recent machines.
- From 1996: TI-85 Assembler Programming.
Written when I was young and stupid. Use at your own risk.
